points to ponder:
yoga is a practice, not a perfect! challenge yourself, but stay healthy by honoring your body. take breaks during class as necessary. there's no judgement here!
please arrive early enough to find a space, use the restroom, change clothes, etc. if you do arrive late, please do so as non-invasively as possible. it's the only quiet time some people get!
place all your belongings (including your shoes) in the cubbies provided just outside the main studio door. the building will either remain locked once class starts, or an employee will be present.
bring your yoga mat to class along with a towel (or yogi-toes) & water. we do have mats & towels available for your use. although we thoroughly sanitize each rental mat after use, we encourage you to purchase your own.
we prefer your cell phone (or other noise-making device) stay outside of the studio during practice. if it's necessary to have it with you, put the thing on vibrate or silence & please step into the hallway before you answer it.
water is life! regardless of what kind of yoga you practice with us here at asmi, remember to stay hydrated. feel free to hydrate during class.
let your teacher/s know of any existing conditions like injury or pregnancy that may affect your practice. any information you share will be held in the highest confidence.
please refrain from wearing scents to the studio. they can be overpowering, unpleasant, give people a headache or cause allergic reactions.
our bathrooms are stocked with natural spray deodorants, blow dryers, hair bands, tampons & lotion for your use.
we make every effort to sustain an environmentally friendly studio & will continue to engage in practices that support this endeavor. as a result we do not sell bottled water. we have a water filter on our kitchen tap, so please bring your water bottle. you can have as much of our water as you like. for free! we also have washable cups for your use in case you forget your own, or you can buy an aluminum asmi yoga water bottle.
